Hello,
This week we have started to do instructional writing. Here is an example of one that I wrote...
How to do a chromatography experiment
Goal:
To do a chromatography experiment.
Equipment:
- Two plastic cups
- A bowl
- Two toothpicks
- Up to four strips of filter paper
- A hole punch
- Tape (any kind will do)
- Any amount of felts pens as you would like
- Scissors
- Water
Method
- With the hole punch make four evenly spaced holes in the brim of one of the cups.
- In the other cup put the toothpicks through to make an even spaced cross around the top of the cup.
- Tape the two cups together and cup the filter paper into strips.
- Take the felts and put dots just before the end of the paper.
- Stick the filter paper onto the toothpicks.
- Fill the bowl up with a little bit of water.
- Then put the the cups in the bowl.
- You will start to see the water making changes to the colours.
- You can record the changes in the colours
- You put more colours onto the paper as you like then you are finished.
Thanks for reading
